JOB SUMMARY:

Manages the day-to-day marketing functions of MY CREDIT UNION including: all marketing channels, programs, campaigns, promotions, and community service activities. Assists the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development in planning, organizing, and supporting the marketing activities of the organization’s operational goals and strategic plan. Supervises the Marketing & Event Coordinator and supports members of the Senior Leadership team.

This is a hands-on active position that will require you to attend, set up and manage various off-site events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the VP of Marketing and Business Development in the development and execution of the annual marketing plan and budget. Reviews weekly and updates if necessary.Creates, implements, and communicates marketing promotions aligned to achieve MY CREDIT UNION annual goals. Calculates ROI to assess promotion success.Monitor, analyze and prepare marketing reports outlining trends, competitor’s products and services and explore methods to drive MY CREDIT UNION’s profitability. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop MY CREDIT UNION’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.Monitor www.mymncu.org daily to ensure all content is up to date, promotions and images are current and all member facing information is correct and accurate. The website should also be reviewed for compliance requirements, disclosure updates, ADA, etc. A successful marketing manager will also write fresh, new, and compelling content as required. Expired content should be removed in a timely fashion.Writes and distributes press releases for local media, online, and credit union publications.Ensures MY CREDIT UNION’s logo and brand are represented accurately and consistently across all delivery channels.Manage activities between the credit union and any marketing or printing agency. Maintain a constant check on in-progress materials to meet deadlinesDesign and write compelling marketing collateral as needed in support of various marketing campaigns and initiativesRequest quotes from vendors, place orders and monitor quality of printed materials and deliveries.Develop, direct, and implement production and distribution of member announcements of product promotions, product updates, or new products and services through newsletters and special mailings. Design, compose and publish quarterly newsletter.Interact and communicate with all those impacted by promotions, new products, advertising campaigns, collateral material, etc., so that employees are up to date on credit union marketing programs.Provide quality control over all marketing concepts and projects, ensuring that all marketing materials are accurate and updated.Maintain and file records of all printed materials and master copies. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date, and files are complete.Maintain an adequate supply of marketing materials and marketing collateral. Determine when to reorder. May also have to deliver items to other branches and around town.Actively cross sells and maintain up-to-date knowledge on all products and services.Provides support for the Adventure Club, HoneyBee Club, the MY CREDIT UNION COMMUNITY FOUNDATION and other programs as they are developed.SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

Supervise the activities of Marketing & Event Coordinator by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex issues and sensitive member relations problems.Approve work schedules for direct reports and approve timecards.Provides leadership, assistance, direction, and supervision to personnel through effective goal setting, delegation, communication, coaching, and recognition; conduct staff meetings as required.Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for the department.Tracks progress and conducts performance appraisals using effective coaching and recognition techniques; documents on a consistent basis, and recommend merit increases accordingly.Reviews and monitors the work of department personnel and provides suggestions and support as necessary.STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:

Manages and facilitates special events related to marketing and community involvement initiatives. Attend them to facilitate their success (weekend and evenings may be required).Run reports as needed.Develops and maintains statement inserts, fee schedules, rate sheets, and product/service brochures.Implements yearly scholarship program and acts as a liaison with the Scholarship Committee to select scholarship recipients.Maintains lobby displays, posters and announcements at all branch locations.Performs other duties as needed or assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Associate or higher Degree in Marketing/Business or equivalent.Experience:

5+ years or more of experience in Marketing.Credit Union experience preferred but not required.Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to speak effectively to members and employees of the organization.Desire, ability, and experience in working with and helping people in a professional setting with a professional business appearance.Ability to read and interpret forms, account statements, legal documents, and procedure manuals.Ability to concentrate, use reasoning, and analyze situations. Must be alert to employee and member needs, be resourceful, solve problems, and write well.Must be analytical, creative and pay attention to detail.Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.Knowledge of printing, layout, and design of newsletters and other printed materials.Ability to find and coordinate resources for article composition and publishing.Proficiently operate a computer. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating system. Ability to use copy machine, fax machine, typewriter, printer, and general office equipment.Ability to write, edit and proofread with a high level of accuracy and detail.Website CMS experience.Outgoing self-starting personalityUp-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all MY CREDIT UNION products and services.Ability to learn new programs or systems as needed (including DNA).Must be well organized and a self-starter.EQUIPMENT USED:Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office Suite, 10-Key Calculator, ComputerAdobe Creative Suite

The employee must be able to lift 35 pounds. This position requires frequent setting up for events, moving marketing supplies around, delivering marketing supplies to branches, SEGs, and other business partners. There is a significant amount of physical activity required in this position.The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods; use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The employee must be able to read from a computer screen and enter data with the use of a keyboard.Working Conditions:

Stress varies depending on workflow from high to low.Travel between offices will be required. Must have a dependable vehicle.Occasional evening and weekend events will be required
