We are looking for a high-caliber storyteller and writer with experience in leading strategic B2B content campaigns to lead our content development and elevate our brand narrative to new levels across our communications and marketing channels. This is an outstanding opportunity to grow and redefine marketing’s impact on a fast-paced global organization of more than 18,000 employees! Based in Saint Louis, MO, you will lead our storytelling efforts to support the deployment of our new brand and narrative and help drive Copeland’s transformation and growth.

Working in close partnership with senior leaders, the Associate Creative Director/Marketing Content Lead will play a critical role in executing our brand story and voice, ensuring it resonates in key communication channels, initiatives, and marketing campaigns for Copeland. This position is ideal for a strategic writer and thinker who excels in a collaborative environment and is committed to elevating our brand through exceptional copywriting and content strategy. Additionally, this person will build and develop the writing team, process, and support our AI strategy in driving our brand-building and growth journey.

As an Associate Creative Director, Copy, You Will:

Storytelling

Innovate and implement creative solutions for complex marketing challenges.

Write strategic copy and messaging to deploy our brand narrative and support company initiatives, including thought leadership and long-form copy, website content, social media, email campaigns, scriptwriting for videos, presentations, blog articles, and more.

Provide strategic writing support for major change initiatives.

Review and refine existing copy across all channels, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.

Brand Management

Collaborate with communications and marketing leaders, colleagues and other department leads to ensure a cohesive visual and verbal brand story.

Steward brand voice across various traditional and digital channels to support our key messaging on sustainability, community engagement, culture, people, and other corporate programs.

Stay current on trends and best practices to keep our brand at the forefront of our industries.

Team Management

Collaborate with Brand, Product, Internal and External Comms, Campaigns and other cross-functional teams on a marketing and content calendar that is strategic in audience and seasonality and supports the cohesive brand narrative.

Lead a global team of content specialists to produce high-quality, engaging stories supporting business and product initiatives, including awareness and demand generation campaigns, sales enablement, product launches, events, and promotional content, that are aligned to brand standards and strategic goals.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in either Business, Marketing, English, Communications

5+ years of experience in marketing, external/internal communications writing or copywriting in a related position

Experience telling corporate sustainability stories, including development of corporate ESG reports.

Strong project management skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously

Strong verbal and written communication skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Education, Experiences & Skills:

7+ years of experience in an Enterprise marketing or a related position at an agency

Experience or knowledge of industry or product B2B related marketing/communications

Experience using and building processes around digital and AI platforms to enhance content creation, optimize workflows, and maintain industry-leading practices. (e.g. Writer, Jasper, Anyword).

Strategic and consultative partner, with validated communication and leadership skills.

Experience with project management tools (i.e., Monday.com)

Strong familiarity with B2B marketing and content strategies (owned, earned, paid)

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
