Our Transportation Team is seeking a Design Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio region to be a key leader on a multi-billion dollar Design for Design Build Project that includes the reconstruction and widening of a complex interchange that includes over 35 bridges, 25 retaining walls, coordination with numerous stakeholders! By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to utilize your bridge and highway design expertise to serve as a design lead on an exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure project.
You will have the opportunity to support, develop and manage scopes of service and the delivery of quality transportation projects on-time, within budget and ensuring the satisfaction of the client’s goals and needs are met. We’ll ask you to act as a liaison between disciplines and serve as a single point of contact.
When you join our team, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a design discipline plan for expectations of project delivery, client communications/coordination, management and staffing/resource coordination.
Relocation allowance may be provided for candidates willing to relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio. • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with design build transportation projects
• Substantial progressive experience with large Highway/Bridge design projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio, or the ability to obtain Ohio license within 6 months
• Previous leadership experience and comfortable mentoring junior and mid-level staff
• Previous experience in a client facing role and the ability to serve as a liaison between Jacobs and the client
• Strong business acumen and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Local to Cincinnati, Ohio or willing to relocate
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• DBIA Certification
• Previous experience working with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT)
