Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for bridging the gap between the vibrant culture of The Villages and our online communities. In collaboration with the greater marketing team, this role implements and maintains social media initiatives that support the marketing goals and objectives of The Villages through use of our social media accounts. This position is responsible for recommending original content, suggesting creative ways to attract more Villagers, and promoting our brand. It helps increase web traffic and customer engagement to ensure The Villages remains top of mind. This role is a vital member of the Marketing Team. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Full Time, On Site PositionCompetitive salary based on experience: Starting at $17.50 an hour

Responsibilities:

Understand resident audiences and current social trends.Collaborate with the Creative Team to develop engaging text, image, and video content in alignment with The Villages voice and brand.Write copy for social media platforms.Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create a buzz around new initiatives.Suggest new ways to attract additional followers and prospective residents.Provide input and help manage the monthly social calendar.Respond to comments in a timely manner.Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries.Measure the success of social media campaigns.Stay up to date with changes on all social platforms, ensuring maximum effectiveness.Work closely with the creative and social media teams to share social media trends and best practices for developing content specifically for social media.Monitor and manage reviews on social media channels.Utilize office computer and office equipment (copier, scanner, etc.) along with a host of other software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, social Media applications (ex: Hootsuite/SproutSocial), Workfront and subsequent project management tools.Attend special meetings, educational sessions and assist leadership in ongoing training of team members as asked.Assist the Marketing Team in their overall initiatives as requested.All other duties as assigned.Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications or related field and a minimum of two (2) years direct experience in social media on behalf of a brand or a combination of six (6) years education and experience.Strong in social media copywriting, with great attention to detail required.Solid understanding of web and social media analytics to include proficiency in Google Analytics and related social media tools (ex: Hootsuite, SproutSocial, etc.) needed.Excellent time management and organization skills a must.
