Job Description

Write, edit, and format technical content for federal proposals, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements.

Collaborate with proposal teams to develop and refine proposal sections (e.g., technical approach, management plan, past performance).

Interpret complex technical information into clear, concise, and compelling content tailored to federal government clients.

Manage multiple proposal writing tasks simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines.

Conduct quality reviews of proposal sections to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Implement proposal methodologies such as Shipley, APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals), and other best practices to structure and format proposal content.

Target pay range between $30-55 an hour

Skills and Requirements

3-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in the federal contracting space, with a proven track record of contributing to winning proposals.

Strong understanding of common proposal methodologies, including Shipley, APMP, and other industry standards.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple proposals simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.

Experience working with proposal management tools and software (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat).

Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field. APMP Certification or Shipley Proposal Management training.

Experience with federal agencies, especially in cloud, cyber, insider risk management, or management consulting proposals.

Familiarity with federal procurement regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARs). null
