You are: The Design Director works autonomously, leads a team, and brings the vision of multiple projects to life with little or no oversight. The Design Director works closely with the co-leaders across departments and with clients, thinking on a higher level about how best to drive the business. Internally, the Design Director is a key contributor to the department and agency culture, and a mentor to shape more junior designers’ careers. Their work is consistent in excellence and originality.

The Work:

Oversee multiple pieces of business at once, effectively managing time and delegating work

Manage staff, both in reviewing work and in guiding their career development and growth

Think beyond the campaign, always looking towards a bigger vision and developing comprehensive ecosystems of work

Forge strong client relationships, and establish full client trust in your instincts and decisions

Continually push work beyond the status quo and motivate and challenge all departments to go above what is expected

See all briefs as opportunities and drive members of team from all departments to take the work a step above

Work with other disciplines (e.g., Account Management, Operations, Strategy, Project Management, Creative, UX, Design, Interactive Technology) to determine scopes and project requirements

Here’s what you’ll need:

At least 7 years worth of portfolio or samples of work demonstrating smart, brand-building designs and executions

Bonus points if:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience

7+ years of design experience at a design firm, advertising agency or related industry

Prior creation of award-winning or breakthrough work

Experience managing individuals and teams of people. Collaborative and team oriented

Ability to multi-task across multiple pieces of business and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Strong interpersonal skills to work internally and with clients

Understanding of design process, beyond just campaign work

Expert proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign, and any new and emerging design-specific software

Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills for effective communication to clients, internal staff and management

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level

of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below andinformation on benefits offered here.

California $131,100 to $336,900

Colorado $131,100 to $291,100

New York $121,400 to $336,900

Washington $139,600 to $309,900
