Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have at least 5+ years experience working as UX professional or product designerA strong portfolio with a variety of design challenges you have solved to demonstrate thoughtful approach and attention to detailProven experience of UCD design principles and methodologies, with an ability to conduct competitor analysis & benchmarking, create user journeys, user flows, sitemaps, wireframes and interactive prototypesExperience conducting usability testing; demonstrating an ability to plan, conduct and analyse your own studies using in-person, remote or online methodsAbility to work collaboratively by providing and receiving feedback in a fast-paced environmentKeen interest and familiarity with AI, machine learning or data scienceYou’re a stickler for detail, quality, and always looking for ways to make things betterYou know that good design is often a journey, using early concepts and prototypes to help build conviction along the wayYou’re a passionate advocate for evidence-based design, with strong skills in both discovery research and usability testingYou enjoy taking on fuzzy problems and boiling them down into simple, elegant, easy to use solutionsYou have a good sense of humour and enjoy being part of a phenomenal teamResponsibilities

You will collaborate with Product Designers, Engineers, Product managers and Industry Leaders to deliver the best possible customer experience on the Snorkel Flow platformAs a product designer you will lead a range of UX initiatives and contribute to the strategy of how user experience design is applied across our products whilst maintaining high standards and industry best practicesResponsible for understanding our users, defining their goals and needs, and communicating them to the Snorkel teamDeveloping user personas and usage scenarios that can test the efficiency of our designsWork collaboratively with the team to craft end-to-end flows and interaction patterns that make our products intuitive and easy to useUnderstand, apply and advocate user-centred design techniques and processes, from project initiation through to on-going product evolutionCollaborate with other designers and engineers to test ideas, share challenges, provide feedback and build quality in your practiceCreate effective handover materials as part of design specifications, which clearly communicate interaction patterns or element behaviours to engineering teamsParticipate in generative user research and competitor analysis to understand customers needs, behavioursIsolate pain points in user flows and improve the overall product experienceWorking alongside both brand and product teams to define, craft and evolve our design system, creating a unified experience across platforms and customer touchpointsCollaborate with engineering, strategy and product design to create intuitive interfaces for complex ML developmentProactively solicit and provide feedback from designers and the broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also tackling mentorship of more junior members of the teamBenefits
