We are a non-auditioned, community choir who are now looking for a new M.D. to start at the beginning of September 2024.
Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.During term time, we meet weekly on a Wednesday evening (7.45 - 9.30pm) in a church hall in Westerham, Kent. We sing a variety of genres, usually split into simple, 3-part harmonies. Generally, we perform 2 concerts per year, plus a few events within the local community at Christmas. There are currently around 25 members.
We are looking for a fun MD (we do not take ourselves too seriously) who will choose our music as well as conduct rehearsals and performances (our current MD also records each part and sends them to us on our WhatsApp group which really helps). Keyboard skills are an advantage as we do not have an accompanist. Competitive rates of pay offered.
