Rhone is a Men’s and Women’s (launching Summer 24) performance lifestyle brand that designs and manufactures exclusive best-in-class performance products suited for an active lifestyle- with an added important focus on wellness. Founded in 2014 by brothers Nate and Ben Checketts, Rhone is dedicated to using their platform to discuss the complex issues facing modern Men and soon Women while offering incredibly comfortable and stylish clothing for their everyday routine. Currently, Rhone has fourteen retail stores in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, California, Florida, Illinois and Texas, and is continuously expanding. In addition, Rhone has a robust ecommerce presence as well as representation in Major Retailers and Specialty Stores across the country with continuing expansion internationally.

About the role:

Rhone sees innovation and technology as a competitive differentiator and strategic product development is key to both customer retention and new customer acquisition. Supporting our mission to inspire and outfit men and women to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle as well as our goal of rapid YOY growth, the Senior Manager, Product & Marketing Strategy will support the product development and innovation process from conception to customer, with special emphasis on communicating the features and benefits of the product throughout. They will direct an expanding team as the company grows, employing a “what don’t we know” mindset and follow the product on every step of the journey by working strategically as well as tactically with the Chief Product Officer and team as a cross functional expert and facilitator making Rhone product stand out in the marketplace.

What you’ll do:

Product Development

Liaise with merchandising teams to imagine and drive the assortment planning process and bring new and exciting products to marketWork with development and production partners to source the premium cutting edge raw materials and technology and follow the product through full lifecycle from the mock ups to the iterative sampling processCollaborate with Product and Merchandising on new product development that integrates consumer insights and dataThroughout the process, direct cross-functional communication of product developmentLiaise with Design Team to create best-in-class product and with Copy Team to communicate thoughtful product positioning and features and benefits that are unique to RhonePressure test the prototypes throughout the development process with wear testing among Rhone athletes, employees, ambassadors and customers, as well as driving impactful surveys and in-person focus groups on targeted products

Marketing

Act as the voice of the consumer by directing consumer insights, competitive analysis, product copy while tracking market trends to ensure Rhone is innovating in product and marketing communications that trend with current and future customer preferencesCollaborate with Creative, Email, Social, Retail and Ambassador leads to produce premium assets that tell compelling product stories and showcase feature differentiationIn collaboration with the marketing team, plan the end-to-end seasonal marketing strategy and drive the product story throughout the process, from inside the organization to the end consumer and gain credibility in the marketplaceIn partnership with respective Team leads, boost brand image, increase customer engagement & improve conversions on the customer journeyWork closely with Planning, Sales and Merchandising on ongoing product performance and proactively formulate plans to increase marketing efforts where needed across key skusBuild strategy and programs for priority products and new releases that can be implemented across paid and owned channels

What you’ll bring:

BA Degree with a minimum of 8-10 years experience in Apparel Development and MarketingUnderstanding of the Design Thinking ProcessProcess & Project Management Expertise - ability to encourage and lead collaboration across multifunctional groups in Rhone Sr LeadershipExpertise in Go to Market strategic thinkingKnowledge of apparel construction, textile manufacturing and costing preferredComfortable in an ambiguous environment and a desire to personally evolveActive Pursuit Experience and MindsetExcellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skillsInterpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationProficient computer skills as well as the ability to learn new software programsKnowledge of Google Suite and MSO products preferred
