You find joy in trying to automate basic tasks so that your time and energy can be focused on the more creative and complex tasks. The role will focus on building out an expanding 3D department which will include photo-real product recreation, virtual production shoots, and leveraging cutting edge technology to expand the department's capabilities. You are entrepreneurial, resilient, and able to pivot to problem solve. We are a team of creative makers who are experts in the intersection of craft and technology necessary to tell the most innovative and compelling stories through experiences, art, design, video, photography, motion graphics, animation, and sound.ResponsibilitiesCreate photo-real 3D products while exploring ways to optimize their build and expand for scale through tools and automation.Consistently deliver great looking imagery across a range of styles; from photo-real CG composited against live action through to stylized fully CG work.Identify existing needs that could be expanded or optimized through 3D solutions in partnership with creatives across multiple verticals.Explore emerging XR/Virtual Production workflows that could expand department capabilities.Act as a team player to help ensure smooth operations, a friendly and calm workspace for our teams to be inspired; and a studio experience that leaves our clients and partners wanting more.Lead and inspire a team of direct reports to achieve individual and team goals.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 1 year's experience in interactive design, editorial content management, or related field OR 3 years' experience in interactive design, editorial content management, or related field.2+ years of CG/VFX supervisor or related experience.Advanced knowledge of industry standard 3D tools such as Maya, Houdini, Mari, and various rendering tools.Proficient knowledge of Nuke for basic compositing of the 3D renders.Comfortable with on-set data capture methods.Creative and solution-oriented to identify the end goal and propose a solution to achieve that goal.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity or experience working closely with motion design teams.Familiarity with XR/Virtual Production workflows.Experience working in the gaming industry or related field.Experience with scripting/tool building.Experience in the Marketing, Retail or eCommerce industry.Benefits & PerksBeyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance.
