We are looking for an experienced advertising sales leader to lead Grubhub’s new Advertising Sales and Enablement team. This role is responsible for crafting and executing sales strategies, pitching and closing enterprise advertising agreements, reaching or exceeding aggressive quarterly revenue and KPI targets, and fostering strong incremental revenue growth for both Grubhub and restaurant partners. Additionally, you will grow and lead a new team focused on internal sales support, partnership development, providing support to the success team(s), and implementation of advertising campaigns while collaborating on strategy creation and initiative execution. We are seeking a strategic leader to launch, enhance, and optimize advertising performance while elevating the overall Grubhub experience. This role reports into the Director of Merchant Advertising and Engagement.The Impact You Will MakeLead Advertising Sales and Enablement activities, inclusive of sales enablement, strategy development, data analysis, meeting revenue targets, KPI management, and scaling of new product features or offerings for our merchant partners.Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the advertising product, offerings, and impact. Providing support to success teams during brand check-ins and take the lead on pitching and closing advertising agreements with these brands.Establish metrics for everything -- signs, conversion, attrition, sales cycle etc. and leverage the data to make sound business decisions.Partner with other internal teams to build out GTM strategies and operational programs focused on incremental revenue growth through advertising sales while increasing order volume for Grubhub’s merchant partners.Build and foster a high-performing team, building the framework for the pilot and expansion of the advertising platform. Provide reporting, insights, and opportunities for ad platform performance and internal process improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of advertising strategies into the overall restaurant engagement framework.Develop and execute sales strategies to optimize the performance of the advertising platform, ensuring maximum visibility and impact for our restaurant partners.Provide support to the ads platform through reporting, metrics analysis, and enablement initiatives to internal and external partners.Collaborate with technical teams to identify and implement improvements to the advertising platform, enhancing user experience and driving revenue growth.Collaborate closely with various internal teams, including product development, engineering, and analytics, to align advertising initiatives with broader company goals.Explore new opportunities to engage with restaurants resulting in increased revenue for merchants while supporting the GH goal of being their Preferred Partner.Qualifications:6-8 years of relevant work experience in advertising sales, revenue operations, B2B sales, consulting, business development, or related fields is required. You think like an owner, determined at every level to get the hard work done.3+ years of management / team leadership experience with the ability to develop team dynamic, identify talent, and foster growth.Background in advertising/marketing is required and experience in multi-sided marketplaces is highly preferred.Previous success in continuous improvement, strategy and GTM development, execution, KPI reporting, operational management, and a deep understanding of multi-sided marketplaces.Advanced level understanding in data analysis and related tools including Excel, Tableau, SQL, and Salesforce.Strong listening, interpersonal skills and empathy. Ability to build internal relationships and drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration.Process-oriented mindset and ability to operate in a fast-growth, fast-paced environment with a great amount of ambiguity.Strong project management skills and ability manage a complex project, influence stakeholders, and effectively communicate status updates.Ability to define critical metrics and measure success of the projects/initiatives.Exceptional communication skills and strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving attitude.Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree in related field or MBA preferred.Shape the future of revenue and advertising operations at Grubhub!
