Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.As AVP, Legal Marketing, you'll be responsible for providing legal oversight and support to Marketing teams in the development of marketing campaigns and processes. Reporting to the VP, Account Acquisition, Digital and Marketing Counsel, you will be part of a diverse, inclusive, supportive, and tight-knit team.Essential Responsibilities:Marketing Reviews

Review marketing collateral for all products and platforms (with an emphasis on Health & Wellness) across all channels of communications and assess relevant processes for compliance with law/internal policies providing comprehensive feedback.Partner with client marketing teams to ensure the applicable audience, communication channel, client objectives and legal requirements of a marketing campaign are considered and reflected in the associated collateral and processes.Engage and collaborate with respective client attorney, all functions and subject matter experts, including Compliance and Risk as required to ensure potential Fair Lending, Program Agreement, Associate Training or other aspects of a client's marketing campaign and Synchrony business considerations are appropriately addressed.Collaborate with Commercial Counsel on loyalty program changes, with VP, Account Acquisition, Digital and Marketing Counsel on upgrades, prescreens, cardholder agreement updates and revisions and other matters, consult with IP Counsel on potential trademark issues, with Securities Counsel on forward-looking statements and claim substantiation, with Privacy Counsel on privacy and data sharing matters related to marketing, and with Product Counsel on new concepts and Advance Promo Notice.Client Marketing Team Support

Provide and maintain subject matter expertise on assigned client's loyalty program, promotions, benefits, and acquisition channels.Develop, maintain and drive implementation of marketing templates, guides and tools with the client marketing teams which address client-specific brand, loyalty programs, promotional financing, strategic focus, communication channels, and advertising style.Training and Communication

Develop templates and conduct training to present marketing legal requirements, changes in law, and applicable templates.Establish effective relationships and collaborate with individuals across assigned client marketing teams to ensure they have an understanding of legal/regulatory marketing requirements and feedback on marketing reviews.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of financial services legal or marketing experience, OR Juris Doctorate (JD) and a minimum of 3 years of financial services legal or marketing experience.Knowledge and understanding of relevant federal and state laws and regulations relating to financial services marketing.Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple complex matters and projects simultaneously in a matrix environment across competing priorities and across multiple functions and platforms in a fast-paced growth business.Desired Characteristics:Exceptional communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills at all levels from associates to senior managers.Strong judgment and ability to understand the balance between business/legal considerations.Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional business partners.Detail-oriented with an understanding of business systems & processes.Ability to manage a challenging marketing review workload within established timelines while balancing frequent client expedited requests and other responsibilities.Experience identifying, assessing, and elevating potential legal issues and analyzing limits and restrictions of marketing campaigns and impact on processes.Knowledge of Reg. Z, UDAAP/UDAP, CAN SPAM, Dot.Com.Grade/Level:

11The salary range for this position is

90,000.00 - 155,000.00

USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility Requirements:You must be 18 years or older.You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
