Lead Designer

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Lead Designer for our client partner. The Consumer Products Lead Designer works on the Global Franchise Creative Dolls Brands Style Guides team at our client and supports the Global Franchise Creative Senior Manager for dolls brands. The Lead Designer will be responsible for graphic design, product design, trends and mood boards. This position communicates directly with the creative director, commercial teams, regional creative leads, and licensed partners.Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and development of consumer products style guides for dolls brands.Design of mood boards, graphics, prints and product examples.Ability to brief illustration and character art needs for external illustrators.Strong communication skills to brief and communicate design direction for external agency support.Understanding of brand history, logo guidelines and design language.Understanding and interest in design and fashion trends and competitive market research.Understanding of licensees and creative strategies.Understanding of calendars and project timelines.Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate design direction.Requirements:

BA/BA/BFA degree in design or relevant experience.5+ years relevant experience in licensing, product design and graphic design.Working on a creative team.Working on or with style guides.Passion for kid and adult trends and ability to translate trend-right ideas for brands.Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).Ability to work on multiple projects / brands simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as presentation skills required.Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.Knowledge of the consumer products industry (licensing, branding, product design, retail).
