Creative Directors are the leaders of the day-to-day creative work. They are responsible for the overall creative quality of the team, assigning and delegating tasks for projects, and leading all ideation work together with the other members of the creative leadership. This role must have hands-on design experience. The Creative Director will need to also have excellent strategic vision and the ability to deliver impactful and engaging creative solutions.

Find out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.For creative production, the duties include three parts: 1) Evaluating the assets provided for the project. 2) Translating client or pitch concepts into clearly defined executions. 3) Establishing the overall look for a campaign or media piece and providing constructive feedback on designs for the team. Client contact can include both face-to-face meetings, as well as digesting and interpreting feedback from clients.

This is an in-office opportunity based in Studio City, CA.

What you'll do

Lead and review the work of the creative team for all web, social, and digital marketing collateral.Inspire and grow the Digital Social Creative Team.Be actively involved in hiring and training creative staff.Manage and cultivate the career development of staff members, including designers, art directors, and copywriters.Manage the creative process from concept to completion.Assign digital/social creative team members to different projects.Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, motion designers, art directors, copywriters, and social media experts, in the strategic development of messaging and deliverables.Prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short- and long-term needs, and develop schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production artists.Conduct brainstorming sessions with the creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address marketing goals and challenges effectively.Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling digital materials and experiences for our entertainment marketing clients.Oversee the presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.Review work, troubleshoot, and provide feedback to creative teams.Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or at least four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects, with a focus on entertainment clients.Expert level knowledge in creative design, typography, social media, digital media, web technology, visual storytelling, and animation.At least 10 years' experience working with visual media.At least 5 years' experience as the point person or in a leadership role for a team and/or project.At least 5 years' experience in client-facing communication.Expert in Adobe design-related software with a focus on Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.Additional computer skills preferred: Microsoft Office Suite; Google Docs Suite.
