Job Description

We are looking for a DAC Video Systems Engineer to assist with supporting and configuring video services and devices in a production system.

The ideal candidate will have a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the entire video ecosystem for the DAC environment and all the associated components. Proven success designing and integrating significant changes to production systems without causing an impact on existing operations, and the ability to think critically about the challenges and solutions being proposed. Additionally, the candidate will have an excellent understanding of video distribution architecture and the devices that create the systems.

This position is remote (in the U.S.), and will be a W-2 hourly engagement.

The hourly rate is $50 - $55. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, training, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities:

Analyze current video infrastructure and source information to design new/remove existing sources, EIA assignments, encryption status, segments, and packaging on DAC video system controllers.

Research and design a plan for the addition or removal of new and existing multicasts in the current video infrastructure environment.

Using the information gathered and analyzed, perform the additions and removals on bulk encryptors and edge equipment (APEX NE, APEX 1K).

Analyze, modify, and deploy channel map changes.

Verify SDV vs. Linear status for the Guide back office.

Identify that desired changes have taken place by verifying channels using TMC rack and Radiant.

Create and document project work and progress on internal tracking and ticketing systems (JIRA, BMC Remedy).

Monitor system and device health and bandwidth load balance based on and related to established guidelines from the user or system design specifications.
