About the Role

You have end-to-end ownership of service agreements and relationship with our two 3PL suppliers (Chattanooga, USA & Mississauga, Canada) and other logistics vendors. Our 3PL suppliers execute the daily fulfilment and logistics of finished goods in USA and Canada, you will be their counterpart for Versuni. You monitor their performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet quality, budget, and delivery targets. You oversee supplier adherence to end-to-end Inbound, Storage & Outbound transportation agreements with Versuni North America and their adherence to logistics requirements of our customers.

You will own our local Operational Budget and lead innovative supply chain projects and initiatives relevant to drive Operational Excellence for Versuni North America. These projects cover both improvements to existing flows and business models, as well as the creation of new flows for new business models. From developing our strategic Fulfilment roadmap, to analyzing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supplier sourcing analyses. This role has a true end-to-end strategic and hands-on operational scope.

You don’t shy away from creating your own dashboards to track shipments, to resolve daily issues, and to improve our overall supply chain visibility. You are a strong partner for relevant stakeholders from sales, marketing and finance within North America and a counterpart for various Global Supply Chain teams from HQ (Amsterdam). The position will be based in Boston, MA.

The Impact You’ll Make

Partner with the 3PL teams to oversee day-to-day client operations, including retail fulfillment, logistics and freight/transportation, inventory control, reporting and planning. Support exception flows and processes regarding capacity planning, returns and non-conformities.Oversee the accurate and timely shipping of retail purchase orders across all retail channels and platforms, including Shopify, EDI, 3PL warehouse management systems (WMS), and customer portals. Monitor and resolve any issues related to shipping and fulfillment.Performance management of the operations with support of KPI Dashboards. Review operations and performance in Monthly and Quarterly Business Review meetings. Resolve issues and drive continuous performance improvement.Inventory control management with 3PL including a/o cycle counts, stock accuracy performance reviews, stock reconciliations, consignment inventory controls, inventory audits. Build daily control mechanisms to ensure EDI efficiency.Owner of process descriptions of warehousing & distribution operations. Manage Change requests internally and with 3PL. Manage adherence to QMS.Audit and analyze 3PL, freight, and shipping expenses and bills to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.Develop detailed Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs) to support internal growth ambitions and drive cost reduction.Ensure that outbound shipments adhere to retailer routing guidelines. Review and analyze chargebacks, providing detailed reports and managing disputes with retailers as necessary to resolve discrepancies and recover costs.Oversee the optimization and functionality of operational software across ERP systems, retail platforms, warehouse management systems, inventory management tools, and middleware. Ensure smooth, accurate, and timely data transmissions; troubleshoot technical issues as needed.Passion for operations and supply chain management is essential, demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for optimizing processes and driving efficiency across all operational aspects.Strong analytical skills with a high proficiency in data analysis and detail-oriented tasks. Comfortable with data formatting, manipulation, and analysis, with retail math skills being an additional advantage.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on relationship building with both internal teams and external (3PL) suppliers.

The Skills and Knowledge you’ll Bring

Bachelor degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business or related field.Experience with 3PL management in USA and/or Canada (incl. budget ownership).Strong knowledge of TM, WMS and EDI systems (preferably SAP).Experience with supplier cost & performance management.Familiar with fulfillment requirements of large (online) retailers in USA & Canada (e.g. Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Williams Sonoma).Profound analytics and reporting skills (incl. MS Excel).Lean, Continuous Improvement and Project management certification.Strong communication skills with stakeholders from various levels.
