Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Structural Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating detailed drawings and designs for civil and structural components in petrochemical facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, as well as proficiency in drafting software.
Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed civil and structural drawings, including foundations, steel structures, and other related components for petrochemical facilities.Collaborate with engineers to interpret design requirements and ensure accurate representation in drawings.Modify and revise drawings as necessary to reflect changes in design or client requirements.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawing logs and revision records.Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.Coordinate with other drafters, designers, and engineers to ensure consistency and accuracy across all project drawings.Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and resolve any drafting-related issues.Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings.Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
Qualifications:Diploma or Associate's Degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Structural Drafter, preferably in the petrochemical or oil & gas industry.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or other industry-standard drafting software.Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles.Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, ASCE).Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D).Knowledge of piping design and layout in a petrochemical context.Experience working on large-scale industrial projects.
