NJ/NY Gotham FC ("Gotham FC" or "the Club") is a National Women's Soccer League ("NWSL") team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is looking for a Designer & Animator to join the Brand Marketing & Fan Experience Team to drive all creative and marketing assets to elevate the brand across all consumer-facing touchpoints. You will create static and dynamic assets for all business verticals and be responsible for designing graphics, art, and animation for content across a variety of channels - including social, email, website, print projects, signage, and other executions as needed. This role will also be responsible for creating franchise logos, intro/outro logo lockup animations, and more, to develop Gotham FC's brand - creating iconic, epic creative executions to bring our story and team to life.
Key Responsibilities:Concept and execution of design and animation assets based on briefs provided by business stakeholders.Develop and present on-brief design solutions that support the achievement of business objectives, align with brand guidelines, and are delivered on the provided timeline.Design for a range of platforms inclusive of social media, email, web, app, out-of-home, in-venue signage and print.Incorporate feedback, provide multiple design drafts, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve an ultimate final deliverable.Bring forward innovative, creative visual ideas and concepts to propel Gotham FC's brand forward across all channels.Utilize animation tools to finalize animation projects and push creative boundaries.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Arts PreferredA portfolio is required to apply for this position2-4 years of experience in a similar roleAbility to design/animate across different types of artistic styles and platformsHighly motivated, creative problem solver who is continually presenting new ideas and iterating on your work productAbility to take projects from initiation to completion with minimal supervision and strong attention to detailExcel in fast-paced environments, supporting multiple projects/team members and working on multiple projects simultaneously, working cross-functionally to fulfill requestsOutside-the-box thinker with the ability to tell compelling stories via creativeStrong communicator, both verbally and visuallyA passion for women's sports and a desire to make Gotham FC's visuals iconic, unique, and breakthroughExperience bringing brands to life through static and dynamic digital designs, such as creating animated logo lockups for video series, franchises, partners & moreHeightened lens for social media design, such as matchup art, thumbnail designExperience with art direction, photography, and motion graphics is a plusCapability & Other Characteristics:

Location:
Based at Gotham FC's business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team's soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC's offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.
