Senior Technical Designer - Women's Apparel
Client Overview:Leading manufacturer of apparel and various consumer goods for major North American and European retailers.
Position Overview: As the Senior Technical Designer, you will own the fit & comfort of the product, work very closely with design to ensure design intent is met while following company fit, comfort & quality standards.
Technical Design Responsibilities:
• Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.• Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.• Ensurethat products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.• Developtechnical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections. Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.• Lead fittings• Manage development tech packs
Technical Design Qualifications:
• 7+ years in technical design industry- preferable with some outerwear experience• Proficient in Illustrator, Excel and PLM• Experience working with Walmart and/or Kohls a PLUS
