The Marketing Services Specialist - Events will assist in the planning and execution of various events, including incentive trips, conferences, trade shows, and internal company meetings. This role involves managing budgets, sourcing locations, coordinating with management, and analyzing program success. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong time management and communication skills, and have basic accounting knowledge. This role is crucial in evaluating the shows and events we participate in, ensuring a positive return on investment and determining the best fit for the company's goals.Responsibilities :Event planning and program execution - Execution of event specific details to ensure all aspects are seamlessly integrated and run smoothly.Detailed planning and organization of programed eventLogistics coordination between assisting partiesLead scheduling calls and coordinating meetings between responsible partiesCollaborate with manager on execution of eventsPost Event follow-up & Close-OutBudget ManagementEnsure accurate expense trackingManage program invoicesLog program expenses and end of month reconciliation with Finance TeamVenue Sourcing and CoordinationPlay an active role on identifying, sourcing and evaluating event locationsEnsure proposed locations meet event requirements and standardsTeam Collaboration - Work closely with the existing team, acting as the third member, to foster a collaborative and efficient work environmentAnalyze event and program metrics, providing detailed insights on return on investment (ROI) and overall event success to inform future planningTravel as required, approximately 25% of the time, to support event planning and execution on-site.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related area of studyA minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, SmartSheets, and Teams.Detail-oriented with strong time management and communication skills.Basic accounting skills.Self-starter and self-motivated.Determined and motivated individualSelf-driven and able to work independentlyStrong interpersonal skills and a people personSo, what are you waiting for?
