Advertising Marketing & Promotions - Senior Associate or Counsel Level AttorneyOur client is a major international firm, seeking a partner-track associate or counsel level Advertising Marketing & Promotions attorney with 7+ years of experience for its Seattle, New York, DC, Chicago, Denver, Austin, Portland, Phoenix, Madison, Boise, San Diego, Los Angeles, or Palo Alto offices.
The firm may be open to fully remote arrangements if applicable.
There is a
preference for candidates in the Pacific Northwest [this is not required].
The salary for this position is between $295k to $420k and may vary depending on several factors . [ This position is also available in a non-partner track role with a lower billable requirement and salary between $180k to $205k.]
Qualifications7+ years of experience in advertising or consumer protection law, and marketing transactions.Experience drafting and negotiating ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online media buying, and other marketing and promotion agreements.Experience reviewing ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, IP, and right of publicity issues; counseling on contest and sweepstakes compliance and on price advertising and recurring subscription programs; and advising on loyalty/rewards programs.Preferred but not required :
Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work.Strong attention to detail; team focused.Excellent verbal, writing and interpersonal skills.Strong academic credentials and client-interfacing skills.State bar admission required [WA State preferred but not required].
