Job Description:1.Executes a comprehensive communications strategy to publicize the work of the organization, which ensures that all messaging is strategically aligned with the System’s mission, values and business goals and works closely with the clinical and executive leaders to obtain direction and authorizations for editorial content.2.Identifies, develops and writes relevant, engaging content for system-wide internal communications channels to support employee engagement and identifies newsworthy developments and clinical service areas poised for communications support across the system.3.Develops content for various channels including web copy, talking points, key messages, newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters, screensavers, reports, marketing collateral and other print, web and digital materials and oversees the production of content and associated schedules to support campaigns and publicity efforts.4.Oversees and advises on the production of high level communications plans from inception to execution and beyond and partners with other health care setting’s public affairs departments on strategic editorial direction to support the overall quality of communications under one organizational brand.5.Proposes and writes engaging content on various health topics, including health tips, Q&A with doctors and other similar copy for the Health + Hospitals public website and promotion on various social media channels.6.Partners with internal clients to understand their communications needs and provides strategic communications guidance and assistance in the development of multifaceted, targeted campaigns to promote new initiatives, programs and services for both internal and external audiences. Facilitates successful delivery of content and desired outcomes for clients to meet their goals.7.Continuously measures and evaluates on the effectiveness of communications efforts, including considerations regarding brand recognition, management of social media, email and digital content management tools and maintenance of organizational websites and photo databases to assess and report on the appropriateness of media avenues utilized in efforts.8.Collaborates with system leadership to proactively identify areas of improvement and researches and identifies communications strategies to help reach specialized populations, such as immigrant communities, physicians and others, as required by specific initiatives, campaigns and efforts.9.Support special events and press conferences as needed, including traveling with executive leadership to speaking engagements to support communications efforts and consistent branding.10.Performs other related duties, as directed.

Minimum Qualifications1.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related discipline; and2.Four (4) years of satisfactory experience executing communications strategies and designing and implemented integrated communications plans, three (3) years of which must have been in a responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity; or3.Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines, as listed in “1” above.
