This position will support a Repair Process Engineer and an Process Control / Quality Engineer with reviewing all relevant Aftermarket Technical Information and building / writing / overhauling the Repair Process Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing and interpreting engine manuals and other technical data to develop the methods and processes necessary for the repair and overhaul of complex aircraft engine components.Determines processes, operation sequence, dimensions and tolerances, and subsequently create and update work instructions and routers / travelers.Ensure projects are completed as scheduled and in a timely manner.Coordinate and communicate with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Operations, etc.)Support the Process Plan Overhaul Team in overhauling Repair Processes and transitioning to Solumina G8.Engage with hourly workforce for inputs to repair process planning and work instructions.Basic Qualifications5 years minimum experience with technical writing supporting manufacturing or similar processesExperience in a manufacturing environment.Proficient in Microsoft O365 Suite to include Visio.Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills.Experience working in teams / projects.Ability to work in an industrial environment.Able to read and interpret process plans, technical specifications, and industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications10 years minimum experience with technical writing.Experience with composites repair and manufacturing.Experience with adhesive bonding in a manufacturing process.Experience with CNC machining processes.Experience with manufacturing cleaning and surface preparation processes.Experience with union workforce.
