Kari Brooner, the founder, has over 25 years of experience as a Landscape Architect in Southern California. KMB Design Studio projects include master planning, residential design including remodels and new construction, mixed use redevelopment and retail, planned residential communities and public improvement projects.

This position is contract hybrid role for a Landscape Architect-Designer. The Landscape Architect-Designer will be responsible for landscape design, hardscape design, planting plans, construction documents, construction detailing and potential construction field support. The role will require working hybrid on-site in Mission Viejo, CA.

Responsibilties:• Landscape Architect-Designer will help manage projects working with clients, contractors and project team• Prepare construction documents in AutoCAD and related design software programs• Research and provide best management practices including local design regulations and criteria• Design and develop planting plans• Design and develop grading studies• Conduct and document site analysis evaluating project conditions• Create detailed drawings and plans that specify materials, colors etc.• Prepare concept design graphics including rendered site plans, image boards and potentially provide 3D renderings• Willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Preferred Candidate requirements:• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture• 10+ years relevant experience in the field as Landscape Architect• Licensed Landscape Architect or In active process to complete licensure• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and other 3D modeling software• Experience in managing projects and multiple deadlines• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams• Problem solving abilities• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
