What will your role be?We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Production Expeditor to join our team. This vital role ensures the smooth and timely flow of materials and components through our production processes to meet customer delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will actively participate in program meetings, address and resolve material shortages, and expedite orders to prevent delays. This position demands strong communication and coordination skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and maintain production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for production planning activities to ensure optimal material availability and alignment with production schedules.

Activities:Provide updates and reports on shortages, part replacements, backorders, and other material issues that could impact weekly customer deliveriesExecute material planning activities for specified purchased components and materials, managing optimal material inventory levels, and reducing material shortagesExpedite "make" items in commodity areas to support program weekly customer deliveriesPerform floor counts and reconciliation of inventoryCollaborate with stockroom partners to prioritize kits needed on the production floor for weekly deliveriesCreate rework work orders as neededFacilitate material transfers between projects to optimize resourcesDevelop and maintain production schedules and material plans to ensure alignment with production goalsAnalyze production data and adjust plans to accommodate changes in demand or production capacityCoordinate with suppliers and internal teams to align material delivery schedules with production needsMonitor and report on production progress, identifying and addressing potential delays or bottlenecks

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum of 4 years of experience in a production control, inventory control, or stockroom roleProficient in working with ERP systemsStrong prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Exceptional attention to detailDemonstrated ability to collaborate across the organizationWillingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changesStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities in a dynamic work environmentAbility to lift and move material which may weigh up to 30 lbsExperience in production planning and scheduling is highly desirable
