Role and Responsibilities:As a Lead Language Learning Designer at Tomo, you will:
• Play a crucial role in the early product definition of Tomo.• Develop and design language learning curricula and content tailored for AI-driven delivery.• Ensure the curriculum is pedagogically sound, engaging, and optimized for AI interactions.• Collaborate with linguists and language experts to create effective learning pathways.• Guide the AI to be an effective tutor by participating in prompt engineering and refining AI-driven lesson delivery.• Update and refine existing content based on user feedback and the latest research.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
• Advanced Degree: Master’s or Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, Language Education, TESOL, Curriculum Design, or a related field.• Certifications: Additional certifications in instructional design, educational technology, or language teaching are beneficial.
Professional Experience:
• Curriculum Design: Several years (typically 5-10+) of experience in designing language learning curricula and materials.• Teaching Experience: Practical language teaching (can be languages other than English) experience in a classroom or online setting• AI and EdTech Integration: Experience with AI-driven educational tools and a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance learning experiences.• Prompt Design: Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI prompt design to refine AI responses and improve the quality of AI-driven tutoring.
