As they solidify a differentiated market fit and prepare to scale their sales and marketing efforts, they are seeking a dynamic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead and shape their marketing strategy for the next phase of growth.Position Overview:The CMO will play a critical role in driving the end-to-end marketing strategy, leading all facets of the marketing function, and ensuring seamless alignment with the sales organization to drive revenue objectives. This high-impact leadership position is responsible for accelerating the company's market presence, customer acquisition, and brand recognition as they expand their footprint in the SaaS and observability market.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand recognition.Own the entire marketing function, including product marketing, demand generation, digital marketing, brand strategy, content, PR, and customer engagement.Collaborate closely with sales leadership to ensure cohesive, data-driven campaigns that drive qualified leads and align with revenue targets.Leverage insights and data to create high-performance, ROI-driven marketing initiatives and continually optimize them for success.Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for new product offerings and ensure they resonate with target audiences in technical sales domains.Foster and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, industry partners, and internal teams to support product-led growth initiatives.Drive the marketing organization to adopt best practices such as MEDDIC, Product-Led Growth (PLG), and Command of the Message frameworks to strengthen alignment between sales and marketing.Build, mentor, and lead a world-class marketing team that is high-performing and results-oriented.Monitor and analyze performance metrics to provide strategic insights and make informed decisions that enhance customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.Act as the company’s brand ambassador at key industry events, conferences, and with the media to position the company as a leader in the observability space.Qualifications:Proven success as a marketing leader, ideally as a CMO or VP of Marketing in a high-growth SaaS company, preferably within the observability, monitoring, or technical sales domains.Deep understanding of the SaaS business model and experience in scaling marketing organizations at a rapid pace.Data-driven mindset with a strong grasp of marketing analytics, customer acquisition, and digital marketing strategies that drive measurable revenue outcomes.Experience collaborating with sales organizations, understanding the sales process, and aligning marketing strategies with sales objectives.Strong familiarity with frameworks such as MEDDIC, Product-Led Growth (PLG), and Command of the Message is highly advantageous.A hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for innovation and driving growth in a fast-paced, evolving market.Exceptional communication skills and an ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.Must be located within a commutable distance to San Mateo, CA, and able to work in-office.Why Join Them?This is an extraordinary opportunity to join a company with one of the most revered executive leadership teams in the industry.
