Apple's Real Estate, Design & Merchandising (RDM) teams create and care for Apple Stores that look, feel, and function as beautifully as our products. We do this by obsessing over the employee and customer experience, and driving a strategy that sets the bar. The Merchandising team at Apple inspires our customers to discover, learn about, and buy Apple products, services, and accessories through merchandising that delivers a personalized experience like no other. We are looking for an experienced manager to lead a passionate team of experiential merchandising experts. The Special Projects team is focused on brining innovation and evolving the customer and product experiences in-store, developing strategies that meet the fast paced retail environment at scale. This leader will work as the design conduit across orgs with multi-disciplinary designers and partners developing inspiring physical experiences based around Apple’s products, services, and spaces. Description

The successful candidate will find opportunities to drive innovation, set clear objectives for their team, and build effective relationships across Apple. In this position you will: - Role model inclusive leadership behaviors and build, develop and retain diverse teams across direct team, Merchandising org, and across Apple. - Lead and develop a team to drive innovation, teamwork, and results through communicating vision and purpose, refining workflow processes, and modeling cross functional collaboration. - Anchoring in the forward looking roadmap, define and innovate merchandising strategies to highlight brand storytelling, build customer engagement, and create owners. - Inspire and drive the team to develop new and creative ways to maximize retail spaces and environment that balances brand experiences and space productivity. - Foster collaboration with key Apple partners across Store Design, Marcom, ID, and Product Marketing to align on holistic experience and approach in Retail. - Drive innovation with deep understanding of GEO specific requirements to ensure scalability, optimization, and localization. - Manage projects by individuals with clear timelines and milestones, with deep understanding of resource allocation and budget management.

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of demonstrated ability with 1-3 years of leadership experience.

Experience managing high performing teams in a dynamic environment.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally required.

Experience and Education in Merchandising, Experience Design, Retail Design preferred

Strong sense of storytelling and a point of view informing creative executions.

Cross-functional agility, and ability to independently lead and achieve objectives in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.

Process-oriented, with ability to flex from high-level strategy to fine attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner.

Knowledgeable in manufacturing, materials, and general physical build and engineering principles. Experience working with internal or external partners and outside suppliers to overcome development and manufacturing challenges in the delivery of a design.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,800 and $279,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
