Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityThe Director of Marketing and Communications is a dynamic and innovative leader who plays a pivotal role in shaping the image and reputation of New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) and engaging with various stakeholders. This senior-level position reports to the Interim Head of School (temporary basis) and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that advances NEIA's mission and objectives. The Director of Marketing and Communications collaborates closely with the Head of Enrollment, Brand Director, Head of Collaborations, and all school leadership teams to achieve the school's enrollment goals.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy:

Develop and implement a cohesive marketing strategy aligned with the NEIA’s strategic goals and objectives.Drive brand awareness and increase enrollment and retention through strategic marketing campaigns.

Communications Strategy:

Create and execute a comprehensive communications plan that effectively conveys NEIA’s core messages to students, staff, parents, and prospective families.Ensure consistent and clear messaging across all communication channels.

Team Leadership:

Lead and manage a high-performing marketing and communications team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve marketing, branding, and communication goals.

Content Creation:

Oversee the development of compelling content for various channels, including digital, social media, email, press releases, and print materials.Ensure content is aligned with the NEIA’s values and mission.

Media Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.Secure media coverage and manage PR efforts to enhance the NEIA’s visibility.

Digital Marketing:

Drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and email marketing.Deliver quantifiable improvements in ROI and cost per conversion (CPC) across all channels.Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics to optimize campaigns.

Brand Management:

Safeguard and promote the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency in messaging, design, and visual standards.Develop and enforce brand guidelines.

Crisis Communication:

Develop and implement crisis communication plans and strategies.Act as a spokesperson during crises to maintain the organization's reputation.

Budget Management:

Manage the marketing and communications budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve goals and maximize ROI.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, board members, prospective families, and local organizations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives.

NEIA reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Experience using Microsoft Suite of Products, Google Workplace tools, Adobe Creative Cloud, and WordPress.Proficiency in Mandarin, a plusQualificationsProven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and communications strategies.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership and team management capabilities.Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics.Crisis communication and issues management experience.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
