We embrace a diverse and creative environment where everyone is celebrated.Responsibilities:Design and own world sections and layouts from the initial paper design to a shippable state, including grayblocking and various iterations, placing encounters, rewards, and other interactive gameplay ingredients to create a living and breathing world.Through feedback and playtesting, iterate upon the world and layouts to ensure that the desired player experience is met.Ensure the evolution of levels aligns with other disciplines and that level design intentions are respected towards final delivery.Establish conventions and actively improve the design of the world’s intentions, scale, distances, paths, metrics, etc.Support mission integrations and world events in levels when conditions are met.Support and review the work of junior teammates.Provide time estimates and reprioritize goals as necessary.Create and present detailed design documents as necessary.Collaborate and follow up daily with other departments.What we're looking for:10+ years of game industry experience as a level/world designer, especially on AAA titles.Strong understanding of space, flow, and pacing.Previous experience on AAA projects; open world is a plus.Proficient with Unreal Engine and related tools.Experience with procedural content generation is a plus.Ability and willingness to adapt to constant changes.Good communication skills, both written and verbal in French and/or English.Behaviour Interactive is the largest Canadian gaming studio, with more than 1,300 employees worldwide.
