Job Description:

Warehouse Operations:

Lead and manage Warehouse and Technical Crew, ensuring seamless execution of all operational processes including planning, pulling, quality control (QC), loading/offloading, logistics, and scheduling.

Oversee and mentor Operations staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and productivity.

Ensure fleet maintenance (trucks/lifts) and asset security are maintained to the highest standards.

Optimize inventory management and warehouse organization to support smooth operations.

Act as a liaison between Sales and Operations/Technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.

Attend and contribute to Executive meetings, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance processes, productivity, and quality.

Lead hiring and training initiatives, including employee orientation and safety programs.

Uphold AVS values and ensure asset protection.

Manage profitability by overseeing weekly schedules, time entry submission, and daily operations tasks.

Conduct and participate in weekly Operations meetings, pre- and post-production meetings, and other relevant discussions.

Oversee task management, calendar coordination, and employee counseling as needed.

Manage vendor relations and logistics, ensuring effective coordination of show pulls, truck, and container loads.

Maintain and improve AVS applications, including Flex, Dropbox, calendar, and task management tools.

Manage time-off requests for direct reports.

Show Operations:

Travel as required to manage day-to-day operations of assigned projects.

Represent the company professionally, fostering positive relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

Develop and utilize SOPs to ensure consistent and high-quality execution.

Foster a positive, productive environment where all team members strive for excellence.

Oversee productivity, quality, costs, and profitability during project execution.

Utilize CAD/Vectorworks for diagram creation and perform site visits during the pre-planning phase.

Schedule, manage, and coordinate labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and technical expertise.

Approve equipment needs and coordinate travel, trucking, freight, and transport arrangements.

Prepare and manage production schedules, work orders, and crew correspondence.

Maintain clear communication with clients and hotel personnel, addressing any issues as they arise.

Ensure safety standards are adhered to and uphold AVS standards of excellence in all operations.

Manage add-ons, modifications, and billing updates as necessary.

Ensure venues are left in pristine condition post-events, adhering to AVS and venue standards.

Approve vendor invoices and labor charges for accurate and timely processing by accounting.

Maintain accurate records and ensure timely final billing for clients and accounting.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Strong teamwork, coordination, organization, and planning skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure with a high sense of urgency.

Excellent guest service and customer relations skills with the ability to take initiative.

Quick problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Willingness to work extended hours, including holidays and weekends, as business demands.

Professional behavior towards clients and colleagues, with a positive attitude and dedication to the job.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Proficiency in Flex Rental Solutions software is preferred.

Physical capability to handle heavy lifting, regularly lifting up to 20 pounds, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting more than 100 pounds as part of a team.

Forklift operator certification and the ability to drive a 18’ cargo box truck.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass a drug test, physical examination, and background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
