Key Responsibilities

McCarthy is looking for a hands-on, collaborative, and passionate Sr. Marketing Coordinator to assist our Northern Pacific (NorPac) Region with a variety of marketing activities. Responsibilities will include development of qualification, proposal, and presentation materials; technical writing; internal and external communications, graphic design; event planning; and database management. This position has the ability to sit in the Santa Clara or Roseville office and will report to the local Marketing Manager or Regional Marketing Director. You will work closely with a highly integrated, regional Business Development & Marketing (BDM) team with the opportunity and tools to grow, develop, and drive your career forward.

Manages the Qualification and Proposal Process

Analyzes and interprets Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to establish deliverable matrix and content development schedule, collaborating with the BDM and pursuit leadership to identify necessary support resources.Leads proposal kick-off meeting with pursuit team, outlining proposal deliverables, team member responsibility, and deadlines. Conducts meetings with and regularly provides guidance to content contributors.Leads the facilitation of work sessions to define and implement a compelling win strategy; Ensures communication of team branding and win themes to content leads; Performs research and information gathering to support strategy development.Identifies relevant projects and McCarthy partners to meet RFQ/P requirements.Designs the graphic elements of the submission in Adobe InDesign, including covers and tabs, document spreads, project case studies, and resumes.Quality checks and edits content for compliance, grammar, logic, and readability; Polishes content to incorporate missing strategy elements and win themes.Proactively communicates and manages the process by tracking deliverable deadlines to keep pursuit team on schedule; Organizes and facilitates effective proposal reviews including managing distribution of draft materials, leading review meetings, and coordinating the draft recovery process with authors.Produces the final proposal deliverable: exporting, printing, binding, and delivery coordination by established deadlines.Leads Support for Client Facing Interviews & Meetings

Schedules and organizes interview preparation sessions (preparing meeting materials and agendas, ordering lunches, etc.).Champions the strategy and planning sessions in partnership with BDM leads.Develops, designs, and finalizes presentations, leave behinds, and other materials.Provides Expertise in Marketing Tools and Graphics

Assists with maintaining CRM database including maintenance of opportunities, project metrics and descriptions, employees, clients, project references, and contacts.Demonstrates graphic design knowledge to support the preparation of deliverables, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite; Designs and produces a wide range of communications materials such as brochures, ads, signage, direct marketing, web, e-marketing, and multimedia projects.Develops and maintains graphic templates to ensure brand consistency and best practices.Transfers completed submission content to the regional content boilerplate library for reference and future use.Supports the Northern Pacific (NorPac) Region

Coordinates regional client and community outreach events including trade shows, golf tournaments, and community service events through McCarthy’s “Heart Hats” philanthropic group.Leads regional Social Media efforts, collaborating with the larger Marketing team.Provides public relations support to Marketing Managers, external PR agency, and internal Corporate Marketing & Communications department.Develops award submissions and call for presentations requests for McCarthy’s projects and people, in partnership with our PR firm.Assists with internal submissions, such as the annual business plan, as-needed.Assists with market research to support the development of regional sales and marketing plans.Skills And Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Communications, Marketing, or related field.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, with ability to understand and execute design intent. Past work examples/portfolios will be requested.Proficiency in all Microsoft Office 365 applications, including CRM Dynamics.Experience in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, preferred but not required.Experience in the AEC marketing field, preferred but not required.Strengths and Talents

California locations only , the salary range for this position is: $76,600-91,400. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation.
