Our mission is to provide challenging experiential education that recognizes and nurtures the individual strengths of gifted learners, empowering them to confidently express who they are and pursue a meaningful life. At Tessellations, community is a core value, as it is the reason our quickly growing school was able to form and thrive despite the global pandemic. Our team consists of passionate, qualified and dedicated staff from diverse backgrounds and includes nationally renowned gifted experts. We’ve just completed our fourth year with excellent student retention and extremely high family satisfaction. We moved to a large 10-acre campus last year in order to house our growing population, and launched a preschool and high school.Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and strategic Admissions Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our school's visibility, admissions funnel, and engagement within the community and beyond. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that effectively showcase our unique educational offerings and achievements. The Admissions Marketing and Communications Specialist will support the admissions process and oversee marketing strategy, print design, and digital presence, including website, video production, social media, and any future digital channels.The Story:

Part of your job will be to dive into the fabric of Tessellations and learn all you can so that you can figure out how best to communicate everything about us to the outside world.Key Responsibilities

Create a cohesive branding experience that raises the organization’s visibility and attracts highly qualified students, families, and staff.Develop and implement integrated marketing plans to raise visibility and promote the school's mission, programs, and events.Develop a comprehensive communications plan which conveys a compelling and consistent message from admission through re-enrollment.Create, curate, vet, and edit compelling content for various platforms including website, social media, newsletters, and print materials.Monitor and analyze marketing efforts to optimize performance and return on investment.Collaborate with the admissions team to support enrollment goals through targeted marketing efforts.Coordinate and promote community engagement events and initiatives.Maintain brand consistency across all communications channels.Manage and plan department budget including all marketing, communications, and advertising expenses.Lead a redesign of the school’s website that includes both internal and externally facing pages.Lead video projects and oversee any vendors throughout the filming, editing, and production process.May lead school tours or represent the school in other admissions events.Support admissions process as needed throughout the season:

Assist with department logistics, meetings, notes, etc.Assist with tours, information sessions, and events.

Complete other responsibilities, as needed, as assigned by the Director of Admissions. This may include some weekend/evening events and/or, as a young school, participation with activities outside of admissions.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Proven experience in marketing, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.Experience with graphic design, web design, and multi-channel communications, ideally in an academic or independent school setting.Strong digital marketing skills and proficiency in social media platforms.Strategic and data-driven marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth culture.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.Passion for education and understanding of the unique needs of gifted learners.Capacity to synthesize materials and communicate information in a manner easily understood.Strong photography skills.Must be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to travel to a few marketing and admissions events that may occur on evenings and weekends as required.
