We partner with campus procurement offices to develop and implement systemwide supply chain strategies and policies that leverage UC's vast purchasing power to optimize spend and deliver positive social and environmental impact. Systemwide Procurement is transforming how UC purchases goods and services to maximize benefit to the UC system while improving quality and service to our campuses and beyond.POSITION SUMMARYThe Director, Change Management and Strategic Communications serves on the Systemwide Procurement Extended Leadership Team and manages the department's Communications Team. This role works in partnership to develop strategic change management, communication and training plans, and leads the delivery of impactful organizational change and effective and measurable stakeholder communications and trainings within Systemwide Procurement and across the university-wide UC Procurement stakeholder populations.Key ResponsibilitiesCHANGE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY, DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT:

Develop and deliver comprehensive change management, communications and training strategies to align with organizational needs and objectives internal to Systemwide Procurement and across the broad UC Procurement base of stakeholders.STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS LEADERSHIP:

Serve as the communications lead and represent Systemwide Procurement and UC Procurement in location-wide and systemwide engagements.ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:

Consult with leaders across Systemwide Procurement, UC Office of the President, UC campuses, suppliers, and community stakeholders to enhance organizational strengths and address challenges.TEAM LEADERSHIP:

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of communication professionals, fostering professional development and an innovative team culture.ExperienceRequired Qualifications: Min 10 years of related experience leading complex, mission-critical strategic Change Management or communication initiatives, including 5 years of managing a team of direct reports.Preferred Qualifications: Min 5 years Direct Strategic Sourcing or Procurement process experience.Skills and AbilitiesRequired Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of organization and system operations, protocols and procedures.EducationRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Administration or related area and/or equivalent experience / training.Licenses and CertificationsRequired Qualifications: Lean Six Sigma Certification or equivalent mastery.Travel Requirements25% Travel to campuses as neededSPECIAL CONDITIONSThis position has been approved for a hybrid work arrangement.
