Principal C# Service Design Engineer . We are looking for a driven engineer willing and able to tackle complex technical issues using their expertise and ingenuity. You will enjoy a culture that values hard work, creativity, and getting the job done; and will know that the products you take to market will make real improvements in people’s lives.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and deliver reliable, high quality, robust embedded and desktop software targeted to complex medical instruments meeting regulatory standards.Participate in designing and implementing C# .Net services to coordinate and control medical instrument activities like scheduling, inventory management, and error recovery.Collaborate with chief architect on design tradeoffs of various approaches to determine appropriate solutions.Create, maintain, and review software project documents including software development plans, software configuration plans, and detailed software design documents.Participate in software project risk analysis and hazard analysis.Drive software requirements with other members of the software team and proactively work to integrate with system requirements.Utilize software engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, static analysis, code reviews, design reviews, Doxygen documentation).Work cooperatively within the software group as well as across disciplines such as systems, electrical, optical, and mechanical.Work in a hybrid work environment with the ability to report onsite when needed.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.10 or more years of relevant experience developing software for complex instruments or devices that include motion control and fluidics.Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing C# .Net services to coordinate and control medical instrument activities.Understanding of revision control systems and issue tracking systems.Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated experience in software development lifecycle (Agile), object-oriented design methodology.Experience with medical device regulatory guidance such as 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485.Preferred experience with software configuration tools for source code control (CVS, SVN, Git), issue tracking (Mantis, Jira), requirements management (DOORS), code review tools (Code Collaborator, Crucible), and 3rd party project build tools.Demonstrated technical leadership skills.Creative / innovative, able to think critically.Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), gRPC, and Entity framework are helpful skills.Here Are Some of the Great Benefits We Offer:Most locations offer a 9/80 schedule providing every other Friday off.Competitive compensation & 401k program to plan for your future.Robust medical, dental, vision, & disability coverage with qualified wellness discounts.Flexible Vacation & PTO.Generous Employee Referral Program.Voluntary Benefits Available: Longer Term Care, Legal, Identify Theft, Pet Insurance, and many more options.It has been and will continue to be the policy of Elbit Systems of America to recruit, hire, train, and promote into all job levels based solely upon job-related qualifications without regard to race, color, religion, creed, age, sex, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, veteran or military status, genetics, or citizenship status.EEO STATEMENT:Elbit Systems of America is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.ACCESSIBILITY:Elbit Systems of America is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
