Vice President of Marketing and Sales

The Vice President of Marketing and Sales position (“VP Marketing & Sales”) reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with department subordinates reporting directly to the VP Marketing & Sales.

The VP Marketing & Sales position includes, but is not limited to, directing and planning Marketing and Sales efforts for the organization regarding EPC and O&M contracts, Module/Equipment Sales, and Renewable Energy Consultation Contracts/Services. Additionally, the VP Marketing & Sales position requires the holder to establish and maintain departmental budgets as well as report at minimum on a monthly basis to company executives the current status of the department and its ongoing projects, sales efforts, and client status, among other tasks. The position holds the responsibility and authority to plan for and implement annual Strategic Planning initiatives. Special projects may be assigned, as required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Coordinate, Direct, and Manage Marketing and Sales Personnel

Create Monthly reports on Marketing and Sales efforts; Expenses, Contract Status’, Outlook/Pipeline.

Manage and Administer Marketing & Sales Department Budget

Maintain and Administer Master List of sales/project leads including status, values, contacts, etc.

Maintain and Administer Client/Customer Accounts

Oversee and create direction of ISI’s Annual Strategic Planning Initiatives

Negotiate, Redline, and effect execution of product, services, and construction contracts with clients – performed alongside President and VP of Construction (others as needed) for contracts regarding construction and other services.

Maintain open lines of communication with all Department Heads and Senior Executive(s) for purposes of outlining sales pipeline, impact to departments upon sales/contract executions, and assembly of information required to close sales/contract negotiations.

Negotiate, Redline, Review Contracts with Clients – performed alongside President and VP of Construction (others as needed).

Maintain internal task list and incorporate into department scheduling of sales/contract/special project objectives/milestones and deadlines

Competencies

Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with an innate focus on customer service and a high level of professionalism.

Proficiency in the use of software applications, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat (PDF), and online applications such as Smartsheet, etc.

Proficiency in learning new technologies and technical data sets.

Financially minded with competencies in maintaining budgets.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a desire to learn new skills, be challenged, and demonstrate growth potential.

Robust analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines and critical assignments.

Competent in strategic planning for meeting project objectives and organizational goals.

Detail oriented with a track record for accuracy and reliability.

Willingness to remain flexible and adapt to change as ISI continues to grow as a company.

Strong desire to excel and develop leadership qualities; Servant Leadership mindset.

Experience

5-7 years of professional work experience in the Construction Trades, Sales, Marketing, New Business Development, and or Business Administration with proven leadership of employees/subordinates and or subcontractors.

Knowledge of PV Solar Energy Generation Facility construction and Operations & Maintenance experience (preferred).

2-4 years Project Management experience; Construction Trades (preferred).

Education

BA Degree from an Accredited college in the field of Marketing, Sales, Writing/Communication, or other related subjects (Preferred, additional education a plus)
