Tonix’s development portfolio is composed of central nervous system (CNS), rare disease, immunology, and infectious disease product candidates.Position OverviewTonix is looking for a full-time VP of Sales and Marketing to effectively provide direction and coordination of company sales and marketing functions to meet or exceed the company’s expected annual growth rate. The individual in this position will also develop and implement the company’s sales and marketing strategy as well as monitor and analyze sales and marketing activity against goals.This is a fast-paced challenging position offering a competitive compensation and benefits package. This position will report directly to the company’s Executive VP Commercial Operations and will be based at the Tonix Chatham, NJ office.Essential DutiesResearch and develop marketing strategies and messaging to support the company’s promoted product line.Build, develop, and manage sales and marketing teams to successfully implement sales strategies, develop leads, and drive sales to meet or exceed company goals.Continuously assess market indicators, consumer trends, competitive activity, and new business development opportunities.Prepare presentations to management and leadership groups to explain the company’s sales and market position and initiatives.Provide input and leadership in the development and implementation of sales incentive compensation programs.Attend trade shows and meet with key customers.Play a key role in company strategy, planning, execution, and evaluation of traditional, Internet, and electronic marketing programs that attract new clients and contribute towards meeting business goals.Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support Tonix on various business initiatives.Minimum QualificationsTen (10) years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing.Bachelor’s degree in health-related field, marketing or finance preferred; MBA is a plus.Demonstrated strategic planning and leadership skills.Excellent track record for developing successful sales teams that meet and exceed annual targets.Ability for travel up to 30% of the time.Dedicated team player who is able to withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.Strong planning and organizational skills.Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.Highly organized, results-driven, problem solver, and collaborator.Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.Tonix offers a salary commensurate with experience and an excellent benefits package.Tonix provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, genetics, disability, veterans status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
