Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.LOCATION: Seattle, WAKlondike Gold Rush National Historical Park - Seattle (KLSE) , part of the greater Seattle Area National Park Sites, which also includes the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience and the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial, is dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging between communities and public lands. The intern will support the park’s youth programming by creating inclusive activities and conversations with unacknowledged communities in the National Park Service (NPS). With an asset-based framework, the intern will collaborate with youth to elevate their strengths, resources, and capabilities to grow as an individual and to improve the NPS. KLSE is ready to support the intern’s personal and professional growth goals with flexibility within youth programming projects.Responsibilities:Facilitating conversations and activities for youth.Developing content to engage high school students that aligns with their interests in relation to conservation, relationship building, and introducing youth to community programs/partners/individuals.Supporting KLSE’s Visitor Center alongside park staff, volunteers, and fellow youth interns.Greeting park visitors and representing the National Park Service.Creating content to showcase youth voices.
