EDUCATIONAssociates degree
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEAt least two years of undergraduate studies from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Engineering.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Producing 2D mechanical and schematic drawings using AutoCAD.
Design tasks to focus on primary and secondary structures, arrangements, piping, electrical systems, and equipment.
Resolving technical issues as necessary to complete designs.
Reviewing the designs and drawings of others.
Developing and implementing design and drafting standards and processes.
Providing leadership, mentoring and training to other designers and drafters.
Prepare accurate and detailed designs, drawings based on concept sketches, photographs, or clearly stated functional requirements.
Assisting naval architects and engineers in the design of boats and craft and providing solutions by applying existing design skills, techniques, and company procedures.
Adheres to existing CAD standards and procedures in conjunction with other designers to improve product quality and efficiency.
Clearly document work solutions and challenges. Collaborate with respective engineers to develop solutions.
Complete drawing assignments accurately and on a timely basis utilizing CAD programs.
Creating preliminary sketches of proposed drawings, utilizing CAD programs.
Modifying drawings as directed.
Using AutoCAD software in the regeneration of engineering drawings.
Develops and prepares technical drawings for structural, mechanical, or electrical equipment, systems, and assemblies.
Completes project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule.
Participates in project meetings and conference calls as required.
Prepares engineering documents for submittal.
