Job Description:The Regional Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for directing all activities of the hotel sales team across the regional division, providing leadership and motivation necessary to implement effective sales and marketing strategies and to maximize the generation of hotel sales/revenues. You will oversee and direct the operations of the regional sales team in driving growth and revenue and ensuring high levels of employee engagement and guest satisfaction.The job is simple:Focus on ways to promote and engage.Continuously exemplify and live by our Culture.Meet/exceed our company goals and three metrics.

Necessary Skills:Complete all required trainingAdhere to, manage, and monitor all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standardsDevelop tactical sales plans and strategies to meet and exceed established revenue, programs, and room night goalsManage change effectivelyProvide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associateCreate and implement strategic sales techniques/plans and find new sources of revenueDevelop new key account relationships and business, identifying new sales opportunitiesWork cohesively with your region’s Director of Revenue Management to optimize revenues across the region’s portfolioKeep up to date on current and emerging trends, markets, and competitorsEnsure property leaders respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.Assist and support sales managers in initiating new sales, prospects, and qualified leadsHost and entertain clients and maintain client accounts when needed at a propertyConduct property site tours with the intent of promoting hotel facilities and servicesIncrease client awareness of all product offerings through client presentations, special events, promotional activities, and marketing outreachRepresent and manage trade show appearances/participationPartner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accountsMotivate, cultivate, and mentor a high-performing sales teamAssist the VP of Sales and Marketing to further develop the organizational structure, talent, and skills necessary to grow the businessAssist the VP of Sales and Marketing in developing and managing departmental budgetsCommunicate and advocate needs to the internal teamPerform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests

Physical Requirements:Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 poundsCan perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environmentMust have eyesight enabling vision both near and farMust be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hoursMust be able to handle heat and stressHave finger dexterity for operating equipmentMust speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand EnglishMust be able to write

Qualifications:5+ years of successful hospitality sales management or high-end hotel development and operational experience in a regional capacityHands-on, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of successfully developing sales teams to their fullest potentialProven ability to develop, implement, and lead successful strategies and tactics to grow sales and increase market shareExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work well in a diverse team environment while adhering to high ethical standardsProven ability to build strong, effective relationships with external partners and internal stakeholdersAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesIn-depth knowledge of the key industry playersExcellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skillsKeep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in personAble to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidaysIs organized, honest, and works well with othersMaintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and personAble to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
