Chicago Education Advocacy Cooperative

Bilingual Content Specialist

Chicago Education Advocacy Cooperative, Chicago, Illinois, United States, 60290

Chicago Education Advocacy Cooperative (ChiEAC) was formed in 2020 with the mission to connect racialized and minoritized students (and their families) to practical pathways to upward social mobility through education.

We have served over 1,600 students , so far, at some point during their educational journey and connected them to a pathway toward success on their terms.

Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below. We acknowledge that a gap exists between the educational experiences in the United States and finding that practical pathway to upward social mobility. Part of what we do is provide professional work opportunities to graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students who need some assistance standing out from their peers as a qualified candidate for careers of interest to them.

We are currently seeking content creators to join our team to help us realize our vision of a Chicago where all children have a fundamental awareness of how to read by the age of 7. We also acknowledge that Chicago is home to students from families that are not English dominant. Many students and families we work with in this vein are Spanish-dominant…so we need bilingual content creators.

We have a

small budget for this project,

so there is compensation involved. We are seeking to begin the content creation process in

September 2024 .

As this is a content-creator position, it would be possible to offer this role remotely. As a Chicago-based community organization, we feel it is important to provide this opportunity to someone who lives in the City of Chicago. We are based on the South Side, so if you are living in Edgewater, we can work out a hybrid type of thing…but we strongly prefer to retain the talent we have in Chicago.

If you are interested in learning more about this project, please send an email to
