We are looking for an experienced Senior Policy Manager to own strategy and implementation of Prime Video’s global content policies that impact all content on Prime Video, including video-on-demand and live content. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining global policies for Prime Video that aim to protect Prime Video customers and the Prime Video brand.

As a Senior Policy Manager, you will set the direction for supporting Prime Video’s growth through robust and consistent policies. You will partner with fellow policy managers as well as Amazon-wide stakeholders to calibrate new policies, prioritize new initiatives and ensure delivery against senior leadership goals.

You will be a trusted advisor to Operations, Business leaders, legal, Public Relations and Public Policy on high-visibility escalations and a primary stakeholder for the Product and Tech teams for launching new features and tooling to manage risk in the Prime Video catalog.

Key job responsibilities

Develop or revise policy guidelines for all content on PV to build a trustworthy customer experienceAuthor standard operating procedures based on policy guidelines for operatorsLead discussions on policy calibrations by collaborating with Legal, Public Policy and Public RelationsConduct benchmarking and academic research to develop risk assessment frameworksAdvise Business Managers on new content acquisitions by conducting risk assessments of new acquisitionsServe as an owner and advisor on high-risk escalationsServe as a subject matter expert for product teams and provide business requirements to build internal analytical and moderation toolsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of experience working in a policy or risk management role on a global scale- 5+ years of experience developing new policies and process improvements at a global scale- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of online content risks and industry standards and best practices- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of equivalent professional experience in a related fieldPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Advanced degree in relevant field (e.g., JD, MA, Public Policy)- Experience developing new policies and process improvements at a global scale- Knowledge of online content risks and industry standards and best practices- Familiarity in content moderation operations- Experience in working with customer studies- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to senior leaders- Demonstrated ability to identify, mitigate, and manage business risks and tradeoffs in a high-pressure environment- Proven ability to drive consensus in crisisAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
