Considering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.The Graduate Writing Fellow (GWF) will work 10 hours per week and receive up to 15 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 6 for fall, 6 for spring, and 3 for summer.DutiesWork 10 hours per week for the History, MAT program.Of the 10 hours, work 2 hours per week at the College of Graduate Studies or Life Long Learning Lounge (Hart 118) with students from specific academic disciplines and other academic disciplines. This responsibility is a requirement for all GWFs and is non-negotiable.Assist students with writing projects via face-to-face meetings, email, telephone calls, SKYPE/FaceTime.Provide writing assistance, as relevant, to all students in a specific academic program through workshops, newsletters, writing tips, program Blackboard sites, classroom visits, etc.Present at least two GWF workshops each semester, either to specific program or university-wide.Attend group meetings and workshops held on the first Friday of each month at 6:00 PM.Attend the Graduate Fellowship Orientation in September.Participate in the spring Student Arts and Research Symposium.Minimum RequirementsBe enrolled in at least 6 graduate credits each fall and spring semester.Be knowledgeable of specific writing style guides (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Special Conditions for EligibilityPlease be aware that employment at Bridgewater State University is contingent upon completion of a successful background check.Bridgewater State University is an E-Verify employer.EEO StatementBridgewater State University (BSU) is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer, which actively seeks to increase the diversity of its workforce.
