We are seeking event planners with an eye for detail and service.Family Service Directors will demonstrate by example, CFCS’ Core Values–Share the Journey, Serve with Care, and Make It Happen–in all their dealings with families, staff, and internal/external contacts.Education and Experience:College degree preferred, and/or at least 2-4 years in a customer service role requiring direct contact with the public (both on the telephone and face-to-face)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of the Catholic faith, rituals, and traditionsStrong customer service experienceExperience with event planning and executionUnderstanding of the order of Christian funeralsAble to conduct oneself with a “Family First” approachExcellent interpersonal, communication, and telephone skillsAbility to multi-task and manage several funeral cases at the same timeAble to coordinate with many internal departments and external providersAbility to work and make decisions under pressure and tight deadlinesFamiliar with special event planning and coordinationHighly organized, detail oriented, and excellent time management skillsProficient in the use of computers, software, and technologyLicenses and Certifications:Valid funeral director license is preferred. The ability and desire to obtain a license in the state of California is a plus.Valid state-issued driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance is requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift or move objects weighing between 75-100 lbs.Ability to push and pull up to 300 lbs. with a wheeled cartAbility to stand for long periods on a hard surface
