The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a dynamic Editor In Chief to lead MBN’s News, Digital and Programming teams and directs editorial content to ensure the broadest reach and impact across the target region. The incumbent is responsible for the planning and execution of all output, including but not limited to all broadcasts.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads the editorial teams to provide accurate, objective information to audiences across the Middle East and North Africa in furtherance of MBN’s mission.

Oversees all editorial policies and content production, ensuring it fits into MBN’s mission.

Manages and develops the editorial staff and ensures timely, direct performance feedback.

Develops and manages budgets for the editorial team.

Submits to the MBN President a developed strategy that fully reflects an understanding of the regional media environment in pursuit of MBN’s mission.

Designs, oversees, and implements content and workflows to ensure efficiency and to leverage value and utilization of content across platforms.

Oversees global newsgathering and news programming production to ensure quality, consistency, and value.

Consistently provides sound editorial judgment and models professional accountability and integrity.

Informs senior leadership consistently on successes, challenges, and emerging issues across all MBN.

Fosters regular and productive communication across the organization on production, technical, resource, and administrative issues to support plans.

Establishes and maintains a strong, creative, effective leadership team to operationalize vision and professionally manage staff and operations.

Represents MBN at events as needed.

Ensures compliance with MBN’s Journalistic Code of Ethics and other policies.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

At least a Bachelor Degree in journalism or communications or related field.

10 years of television production experience and demonstrated management experience.

Fluency in Arabic and English and excellent communication skills.

Outstanding leadership skills and a drive to excellence.

Passion for high-quality journalism and commitment to be a leader at a 24/7 network.

A broad working knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
