Senior Motion Graphic Designer

All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.Job DescriptionThe Senior Motion Graphic Designer is responsible for developing creative content for clients and internal audiences, contributing to all phases of the design process. This includes concept development, storyboarding, animation, graphic design, and production, spanning various mediums such as web videos, animated shorts, trailers, product demos, digital signage, social channels, and HD video post-production.Qualifications:5-7 years of experience as a Motion Graphic Designer in an Interactive, Video, and/or Motion Graphics related field.Agency experience.BS/BA/AD degree preferred with at least three years of experience in a digital/production environment or equivalent combination of work experience and education.Detail-focused, organized, and a creative problem solver.Clear understanding and knowledge of the Motion Design and Video Production process from concept to completion.Technical Skills:Extensive experience with post-production workflows and video editing focused on advertising and digital marketing, and other media channels.Proficiency in motion graphics, animation, static, and animated typography.Proficiency in video editing software: Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects.Proficiency in 2D software: Photoshop, Illustrator.Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.Open-minded attitude about feedback and a willingness to improve work.Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities under tight deadlines.Self-motivated and thoughtful problem solver.Patience and positive attitude with a collaborative approach.Sense of humor and flexibility to pivot.Bonus: Proficiency in 3D software: Cinema 4D, Blender, Adobe Substance, Element 3D, etc.Bonus: Experience with videography, camera operation, shot framing, etc.Job Specifics:Work closely with internal and external teams to manage Video and Motion Graphic projects effectively.Introduce and present Video and Motion Graphics services to internal and external teams.Manage internal relationships on production-related issues and client needs and expectations.Manage staff, assigning responsibilities and setting deadlines.Manage production schedules and logistics with project teams.Collaborate with Art/Motion Directors to design compelling high-quality animations and video productions.Utilize conceptual and design skills to bring ideas to life.Shape the details of motion projects with cutting-edge techniques and technologies.Coordinate with programmers on integrating functions and objects into visual designs.Manage deadlines and execute on time and on task.Stay current with production tools and technology advancements.Train Motion Designers in production best practices.Delegate production tasks to Motion Designers.QA and review of final output and source files.Management/Leadership:Demonstrate excellent communication, team building, interpersonal skills, leadership, and operational management.Facilitate technical workgroup meetings.Successfully lead/mentor small production teams on small/medium-sized projects and own subsystems within a medium-to-large project.Serve as a mentor to new and/or current employees; assist with employee onboarding/training.
