About the role

We are seeking a Senior Brand Designer to join our dynamic in-house creative team.

In this role, you will shape the design of our B2B business lines to deliver our brand story in compelling and thoughtfully designed ways. You will lead design initiatives, with a solid awareness of our different audiences and their different levels of financial know-how.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Brand Creative, you will work with a team of creatives and marketers to help grow our B2B business lines. Your responsibilities will include redefining and advocating for a design-forward, customer-centric experience across our two B2B business lines, Betterment at Work and Betterment for Advisors. You will lead conceptual development and hands-on execution of advertising, sales materials, product demo videos, social posts, research reports, content programs, and event spaces. You will work within our recently refreshed brand guidelines, while also pioneering new visual ways for our B2B brands to be expressed as we launch new products and campaigns.

The ideal candidate is a strong conceptual thinker with a broad range of visual design skills, covering everything from digital campaigns to branding. This role requires a strategic mindset with strong leadership skills and understanding of B2B marketing, and who can collaborate effectively and manage multiple priorities from creative concepting to iterative design.

This role is based out of our NYC office. Below we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In the interview process, we'll look to learn more about your skills, experiences, capabilities, and motivators. Many of our questions will be aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, as we want to collect a robust set of data points to better inform our decisions.

On average, it takes us around 3-5 weeks to make a hiring decision, depending on your availability and sense of urgency. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 2-3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision. Please note that, as we usually receive an overwhelming number of applications for open positions, we're unable to offer individual feedback during the interview process.
