Background:
Position Summary
This is a Geographic Information Systems Database Administrator position at the TOP-C, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the NSC Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.
Requirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (Geographic Information Systems, CS, Geography, or degree in an associated discipline) / 3 yrs. experience managing GIS DBs supporting like sized teams and projects3 yrs. administering, testing, and implementing computer GIS DBs, applying Knowledge of DB management systemsExperience leading M&S DB team responsible for supporting builds, LVC-IA, and stimulation of Army MCIS in support of training events and distributed exercisesKnowledge in Identifying, investigating, and resolving DB performance issues, capacity, and scalability; understanding in planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard computer DBsKnowledge and exposure to managing large datasets and performing complex spatial queries and analyses; understanding of geographic concepts, cartography, spatial analysis, and how these relate to DB managementSECRET Clearance
Support Hours:
The contractor is responsible for conducting business while the facility is open, between the hours of 0730-1630 Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Contractors may work in an alternative workplace when the Government facility is closed. In the event of a Government Shutdown, the contractor may work in the facility, if open/manned, or in an alternative workplace.
Place of Performance:
The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at Fort Leavenworth, KS. All Contractor employees shall abide by local guidance at each installation as it pertains to access, face coverings, physical distancing, and mandatory quarantine policies. Any unknowns or uncertainties will be resolved with the KO or COR for questions or concerns.
Travel:
The Contractor will be authorized travel expenses consistent with the substantive provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the limitation of funds specified in this contract.
