Job Description

We are looking for a Product Designer to join the Cash App commerce design team. As designers at Cash App, our focus is to create world-class experiences for our customers. We pride ourselves in rethinking established paradigms and bringing creative solutions into existence in order to redefine the world's relationship with money.

Our product designers take a product, feature, or experience from ideation to production. This includes vision setting, designing solutions, prototyping, bringing along cross-functional teams, overseeing implementation, and collaborating with other designers, researchers, product managers, analysts, and engineers.

As part of Commerce design, your charter will be to create simple, delightful experiences that connect our customers with our merchants to help both thrive. You'll work closely with partners to define product strategy and craft innovative experiences. And as part of Cash App Commerce, you'll be intently focused on making Cash App the most loved way to pay.

You have:

5+ years of experience as a Product DesignerA passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging solutionsAn innate understanding of the end-to-end design process-from identifying customer needs to delivering exceptional experiencesStrong visual design craft and prototyping skillsA starter mentality, going quickly to design in order to workshop solutions and create clarityA passion for an iterative process-thinking fast on your feet, coming up with solutions to important challenges, and taking calculated risksExcellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to align teams and stakeholders around a shared visionA constructive voice in design critique settings both supports and pushes team membersThe ability to apply both consumer insights as well as product thinking and intuition to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmapStrong systems thinking with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer journeyEven better if you have:

Previous work experience in a consumer-focused fintech organizationDemonstrated impact on product strategy and user experience in previous rolesEncouraged innovative approaches to design techniques, enabling the design team to embrace different angles to a design problemA growth mindset, proactively seeking out opportunities to improve, always searching for new knowledge and ideas. Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $189,000 - USD $283,600Zone B: USD $179,600 - USD $269,400Zone C: USD $170,100 - USD $255,100Zone D: USD $160,700 - USD $241,100
