Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Enthusiastically represent United Parks & Resorts by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.Develop marketing materials including fact sheets, messaging documents, blogs, social media content, and pitch materials.Create and execute a community relations strategy with a focus on public and private school outreach, environmental, animal care and sustainability focused organizations, and public interest groups for SeaWorld San Diego and Sesame Place San Diego.Coordinate and lead logistics related to offsite community relations in San Diego, Chula Vista, Orange County, Los Angeles, and more.Will require offsite travel; must have a valid CA driver's license and valid CA state automotive insurance.Must have strong time management and administration skills to track miles and work hours driving.Develop strong relationships with key members of the community.Review and manage incoming community relation requests.Lead all administrative tasks around community relations.Manage and update the database of community relations contacts, including developing new contact lists.Develop and execute a marketing strategy to promote culture and employee engagement at SeaWorld San Diego and Sesame Place San Diego.Act as the employee engagement liaison for the Marketing and Communications team, understanding and addressing needs, and creating new marketing channels to communicate with our employees.Support animal-related campaigns and storytelling through 360 marketing and PR.Plan, write, and edit engaging, channel-specific marketing and PR content around animals, sustainability, and conservation for a variety of digital platforms and diverse audiences.Maintain industry knowledge and keep up to date on social media trends, platform features, and best practices.Assist with other marketing and PR related duties, including office assistance as needed.Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors, and our Guests.Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age.Have a high school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred in Accounting, finance, or related business discipline.Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP knowledge preferred.Ability to quickly master proprietary systems applications software and report writers.Ability to effectively perform in a multitask oriented environment to meet specific deadlines.Effective written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Must be familiar with Microsoft Office tools and functionality; intermediate skill level in Excel required.Education:A bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.Competencies:At least two years’ experience related to Education, hospitality industry, marketing, and communication or equivalent related experience.Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, and/or combined equivalent of education and experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook).Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to convey important ideas and concepts to different audiences clearly and persuasively.Must be able to function effectively as part of a collaborative team, as well as work independently, to meet deadlines.Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.Strong presentation skills.Positive and enthusiastic demeanor to set an example to the park staff on how to champion the organization.Available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need.Able to sit for long periods of time.Able to make observations and record data in both indoor and outdoor settings under a variety of weather conditions.Compensation:
